National Fascist Community

Národní obec fašistická ( NOF ), German "National Fascist Community ," was a fascist party in Czechoslovakia and in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.

History

The Národní obec fašistická was founded on March 23, 1926 by the merger of several organizations. Its founder and chairman was Radola Gajda, a participant and important commander of the Czechoslovak Legions in World Grieg and until 1926, General of the Czechoslovak army. Programmatically, the party known to the Italian fascism of Mussolini, their program included, among other things, the formation of a totalitarian state after the Italian pattern. It is usually performed with strong anti-Jewish slogans, but she was also set anti- German (after the Munich Agreement, she stood on the side of the defenders of state sovereignty ). Within the party had different youth organizations such as " Omladina " " Obrana " or " Junáci NOF ", organized in part as paramilitary groups, and also the student organization " Fašistické studentské sdružení ", the Association for Women " Fašistická pomoc " and others. The party never gained a special significance. Its spread was greatest during the economic crisis of the 1920s, especially in the rural areas but also in some industrial centers in Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Pardubice or.
