National Indoor Football League

The National Indoor Football League was founded in 2001 American Football League Hall with 22 teams, all of which were in the United States. The NifL chose it specifically in the markets in which, as the NifL was the team of the Arena Football League or its lower league, the af2 are not covered a semi-professional league, which wanted to avoid a competitive struggle. It was dissolved in 2007, after 2005 and 2006, many teams changed in the seasons in other leagues or have been resolved. The headquarters was in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Season schedule and playoffs

The season of NifL went from early March to the end of July, so a little offset to the AFL and completely out of season the NFL. Each team carried out 14 games: two against each another team from the Conference Division rivals and a game against any team from another division in own conference as well as one game against two teams in own conference. The best eight teams from each conference disputed the playoffs in a knockout system, the winner of each Conference occurred in Indoor Bowl against each other.

Indoor Bowl

The final of the NifL called Indoor Bowl and was held annually at the end of the season.
