National Paralympic Committee

National Paralympic Committee or "national paralympic committee" (NPC ) is the contact for the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and also a member in selbigem for their respective country. It is responsible for the nomination and secondment of disabled athletes to the Paralympic Games and represents their interests. Currently, there are 165 NPCs.

The rules of the IOC is in accordance with the National Paralympic Committee, an independent and autonomous organization within the self-administration of sport in each country. In Germany, this function is performed by the German Disabled Sports Association.
