National symbols of Italy
The state symbols of Italy are supposed to symbolize the Italian Republic. Among them are:
- The Tricolore flag of Italy with the colors green, white and red
- The national coat of arms, consisting of the Stella d' Italia, behind a gear, surrounded by oak and olive branches and the red heraldic motto REPVBBLICA ITALIANA
- The national anthem Fratelli d' Italia
- The standard of the President
- The National Monument Vittoriano in Rome
In addition, the following items and characters are placed as a symbol of Italy and abroad by Italians themselves at:
- The national color blue Savoy
- The Stella d' Italia, a five-pointed star
- The Festa della Repubblica National
