National symbols of Italy

The state symbols of Italy are supposed to symbolize the Italian Republic. Among them are:

• The Tricolore flag of Italy with the colors green, white and red
• The national coat of arms, consisting of the Stella d' Italia, behind a gear, surrounded by oak and olive branches and the red heraldic motto REPVBBLICA ITALIANA
• The national anthem Fratelli d' Italia
• The standard of the President
• The National Monument Vittoriano in Rome

In addition, the following items and characters are placed as a symbol of Italy and abroad by Italians themselves at:

• The national color blue Savoy
• The Stella d' Italia, a five-pointed star
• The Festa della Repubblica National
