The National University of Ireland (Irish Ollscoil na hÉireann ) is a state university system based in Dublin. It consists of four constituent universities and five accredited colleges and is Ireland's largest university. It was founded by the Irish Universities Act, 1908 and significantly amended by the Universities Act, 1997.
