Nebesa (AÅ¡)

Nebesa ( German Kingdom of Heaven, formerly Egrisch Reuth ) is a district of the city Aš in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers southeast of Aš on the border with Germany and belongs to Okres Cheb.

Geography

Nebesa is located on the northern edge of the Chebský les ( Cheb city forest ) in Elstergebirge. Neighboring towns are Vernéřov in the north, Horni Paseky and Bad Bramstedt in the Northeast, High Village, worry and bear village in the east, Výhledy and Skalka in the southeast, Na Cihelně and Lipná in the south, Längenau the southwest, Nový Zdar in the west and Mokřiny in the northwest.

About two kilometers west of Nebesa the limit is to Bavaria. There is a path across the border, which leads to the village Längenau near Selb. Just under three miles to the east lies the source of the White Elster. Also, there is a boundary path that leads to the Saxon Bärendorf. To the southeast is the Rommersreuther Switzerland.

History

Egrisch Reuth was first mentioned in 1315. During the Seven Years' War, a battle between Austria and Prussia was fought on May 8, 1759. Administratively, belonged to the community during the Habsburg monarchy for the judicial district or county Asch Asch.

1907 was built a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Nebesa. In 1930, 152 people lived in the village. 2001, the site had 13 inhabitants.
