Necip Torumtay

Necip Torumtay (* 1926 in Vakfikebir, Trabzon Province; † August 28, 2011 in Ankara, Turkey) was a former Turkish general, the last from 1987 to 1990 Chief of General Staff ( Genelkurmay Başkanı ) of the Turkish Armed Forces ( Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri ) was.

Life

After school Torumtay attended the military school ( Harp Okulu ), from which he graduated in 1944 as a second lieutenant of artillery.
