Seen Nederkogel of Sölden

The Nederkogel (also Nörderkogel, 3163 m above sea level. A. ) is one of the dominating mountains in the inner Oetztal when looking towards the valley floor. The freestanding Summit provides an excellent view. To the north it overlooks an extensive part of the Ötztal. Westward results in a survey of the glacier region of the white crest. To the south, offers a comprehensive look at the main Alpine ridge with the known peaks Hochwilde or wild tip. Looking to the East gives an insight into the Stubai Alps. At the summit there is a 8 meter high summit cross.

Location

The Nederkogel is the last major summit of the branches off from the main Alpine ridge Schnalskamm northbound Ramolkamms. He is preceded with the Mittagskoge ( 2825 m above sea level. A. ) only a small pre-peak. This page ridge separates the valley from the Gurgler Venter valley, forming the source of the Ötztal valleys near the village of Zwiesel stone.

Route

The ascent via the east side of the mountain. This all lead increases from Lenzenalm (1896 m above sea level. A. ). This may range from Zwieselstein (1440 m above sea level. A. ), a faction of the village of Sölden, be reached in an hour. There is also the possibility in several places at the leading of Zwiesel stone to Obergurgl road to start, this starting point is about 200 meters higher. The Alm can alternatively be reached within an hour of Untergurgl from. The rise of the Lenzenalm to the summit takes about three to four hours. In a first, lighter section is accessed via the vegetation zone out to Nedersee. The second part of the climb goes to a saddle in the northeast ridge of Nederkorgels that pulls down for lunch Kogel, one enters at an altitude of 2800 m. From the saddle you can reach in the third section more or less loose scree to the summit. Since around the peak in the summer even more snow fields may be present, crampons and ice ax may be advantageous.
