Nedlitz

Nedlitz is a district of the city of Zerbst / Anhalt in the district of Anhalt- Bitterfeld, in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).

Until December 31, 2009 Nedlitz was an independent municipality with the associated district Hagendorf. On a municipal area of 33.2 km ² lived 641 inhabitants ( 31 December 2008). On 1 January 2010, the annexation was to Zerbst / Anhalt.

Geography

The village in the High Nedlitz Flaming located in the source area of the northern Nuthe arm in the nature park Flaming and is surrounded by extensive forests. The border to Brandenburg runs directly east of Nedlitz. The city of Zerbst / Anhalt is 15 kilometers away, the Möckerner district Loburg twelve kilometers.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 11 May 1998 by the regional council of Dessau and registered in the State Archives Magdeburg under the coat of arms registration number 25/1998.

Blazon: "In green a silver wave beams; above a silver oak branch with a rising glans, below a silver Damhirschschaufel. "

All three were present in the coat of arms symbols and have great significance for the community. The oak is the oak peace as well as for the forest wealth of the area, as well as the Damhirschschaufel intended to indicate the wealth of wildlife. The wave bar refers to the Nuthe that arises here.

The coat of arms was designed by the Heraldry Society "Black Lion" Leipzig.

Flag

The flag is green - white - striped green ( 1:2:1 ). The coat of arms of the municipality is centrally placed on the wide median strip.

Church

Nedlitz has an evangelical stand half-timbered church from 1717, which is rather unusual for the region. Inside there is a wooden trough vault and a baroque pulpit altar.

Transport links

Nedlitz is located on the main road 246 ( Möckern - Bad Belzig ). From Nedlitz a road branches off connection Deetz to Lindau and Zerbst. The Nedlitz station was on the railway line Berlin- Blankenheim ( so-called canon train). In the 1990s, the route for speeds up to 160 km / h and electrified, sometimes wrong here even ICE trains ( without stopping ), the line was, however, closed down in December 2004.
