Neferkare Iymeru

Neferkare Iymeru was the ancient Egyptian vizier under King Sobekhotep IV ( about 1750 BC).

Neferkare Iymeru was the son of the head of widths Hall Iymeru. His mother was called Zatamun. Neferkare Iymeru is known by a large number of monuments and it one of the best-attested viziers of the 13th Dynasty. Two of his statues called King Sobekhotep IV, which Neferkare Iymeru is good datable. A statue from Karnak, which is now in the Louvre, tells of the construction of a million years house, a temple for the king cult. It is one of the earliest evidence for this institution. Neferkare Iymeru reported on this statue also of the construction of a canal for the ruler. The Vizier is also attested by an inscription in Wadi Hammamat, which calls him together with the top asset managers Nebanch.
