Nélida Gómez de Navajas

Nélida Gómez de Navajas ( born July 23, 1927 in Buenos Aires; † 2, 2012 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine human rights activist.

She was one of the founders of the " Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo " ( Madres de Plaza de Mayo ). Background was the kidnapping of her pregnant daughter Cristina on July 13, 1976. Gomez ' husband Julio Santucho, who was at the time of the kidnapping in Italy, the Revolutionary Workers' Party of Argentina was ( Partido Revolucionario de los Trabajadores, PRT ) on.

She was Vice President of the Instituto Multimedia DerHumALC, the organizer of the Festival Internacional de Cine de Derechos Humanos.
