Nello Musumeci

Sebastiano ( Nello) Musumeci ( born January 21, 1955 in Militello in Val di Catania ) is an Italian politician who was from 1994 to 2009 Member of the European Parliament for the National Alliance. From 1994 to 2003 he was also president of the province of Catania. 2005 Musemeci has left the National Alliance nazionale and founded his own party. This party National Alliance Siciliana wants to offer a politics beyond the big blocks. In the Sicilian regional elections on October 28, 2012 Musumeci subject as a common candidate of the right political spectrum with 25.7 % Rosario Crocetta, who came ahead with 96,000 votes to 30.5 %.
