Neoplan Centroliner

Centroliner is a low-floor bus model series Neoplan, which was constructed by the company Gottlob Auwärter and produced from 1997 to 2006. Successor was from 2003 Centroliner evolution.

A prototype of the N 4416 was presented in June 1997 at the UITP Congress in Stuttgart in the first time. The Centroliner was the first produced by Neoplan model with CAN bus. The production was in the works Plauen and Pilsting.

The buses were powered by internal combustion engines in the rear either under the floor or a tower motor ( midi buses, three-door version of N 4416 and N 4420, 12 -meter double-decker ) were installed. To select multiple engines from MAN (diesel, natural gas) and Daimler -Benz were (Diesel ), especially when ordering from abroad ( Hong Kong) also engines of the M series of Cummins were installed. Been exclusively available with natural gas engine is the N 4413, which was only produced from 2002 to 2004.

Use

One of the largest buyers of the Centro liner included the transport companies Bogestra, DSW and RBO. 35 of the 51 N 4416 Ü of RBO are in the Passau area with natural gas drive way.
