Nepal Police Club

The Nepal Police Club (until 2007 Mahendra Police Club ) is a police sports club from Kathmandu in Nepal. The men's soccer team plays in the top league in the country, the A- Division League. Their home ground is the Mahendra Police Club Stadium, but all league matches were played in the stadium Dasrath in Kathmandu in the season 2006/ 07.

Club history

The club was founded in 1966. Honor of King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, the club was founded as Mahendra Police Club. The biggest success of the club was winning the championship in season 2006/07. This championship eligible to participate in the AFC President's Cup. There they immediately reached the final, which was lost with 1-2 against Dordoi - Dynamo. Because since 2007 took place no more championship in Nepal, the club, as is still the reigning champion, was sent again to the President's Cup. 2008, the club reached the semi-finals again, but was beaten again against Dordoi - Dynamo. In 2009, the Association for Nepal starts at the President 's Cup.
