Nephrocalcinosis

As Nephrocalcinosis the deposition of calcium salts in the renal vessels and connective tissue of the kidney is called. Can be caused by a disturbed calcium metabolism, " calcification " of a previously damaged kidney tissue or debris in the context of amyloidosis or multiple myeloma. The medullary sponge kidney, a non-heritable, congenital malformation of the kidneys, leading to over hypercalciuria nephrocalcinosis.
