The Neuhewen, also called Neuhöwen, located on the boundary of the municipality Engen -Stetten in the district of Konstanz in Baden- Württemberg. With 867 m above sea level it is the highest of the Hegau volcanoes. On the summit summit are the ruins of Stettener little castle (castle Neuhewen ).
Location
The mountain is one kilometers north of the community Engen - Stetten im Hegau.
Geology
The Neuhewen is of volcanic origin. In the ruins area of basalt (Ba, melilite nephelinite ) is in the form of extra thick pillars which are interpreted as vent filling. A Tuffmantel does not exist.
