New Castle of Ansembourg

The Ansembourg castle in the same town in the municipality of Luxembourg Tuntange is a castle in the Renaissance style and was built in 1639-1647 by the cabin owner Thomas Bidart in the valley of the Eisch. His descendant Lambert -Joseph de Marchant enlarged in the 18th century. In order not to confuse the " new castle " with the ancient hill fortress of older Ansembourg, the castle is often referred to as Nouveau Château. Castle and chateau included in the " Valley of the Seven Castles", the slogan underneath which for the Eisch valley advertised touristy.

The French- style Baroque garden of the castle has been renovated with EU financial assistance and is open to the public. The castle itself is since 1986 owned by the Japanese religious community Sukyo Mahikari and can not be visited.
