The airport New Tanegashima (Japanese新 种子 岛 空港, Shin - Kuko Tanegashima ) is a small commercial airport Nakatane the community on the island of Tanegashima in Japan, Kagoshima Prefecture. The airport is located about 11 kilometers north-east from the city center. From here, there are currently (2009) only domestic routes. The airport New Tanegashima applies after the Japanese legislation as third class airport.

The airport is known regionally under the name Tanegashima Airport.
