New Zealand general election, 2008

The parliamentary elections were held in 2008 in New Zealand around 120 seats in the House of Representatives on November 8, 2008. The New Zealand National Party (New Zealand National Party ), led by John Key, won the largest share of the seats. It formed with the help of ACT, United Future and the Maori Party government. The earlier ruling for nine years New Zealand Labour Party went into opposition. On November 19, 2008 John Key was sworn in as successor to Helen Clark in the Office of the Prime Minister of New Zealand.
