Neytralny Turkmenistan

Nejtralnyj Turkmenistan ( russian Нейтральный Туркменистан ) is a Russian-language newspaper in the Turkmen capital Ashgabat. It is published by the Turkmen state, the monthly circulation is about 23,000 copies. The newspaper is the official newsletter of the government of the country. First published in November 1924, however, from its founding to 1995, she was named Turkmenskaja Iskra ( Туркменская искра; German Turkmen sparks). A few years after independence, in 1995, the previous Turkmenskaja Iskra was renamed Nejtranlnyj Turkmenistan. Already the Soviet era the Turkmenskaja Iskra was the party newspaper of the Central Committee of the Turkmen Soviet Socialist Republic. Since 2012, an English-language supplement of the newspaper is weekly.
