NGC 4976

NGC 4976 is an elliptical galaxy of type E4 and is located in the constellation Centaurus. The galaxy has an angular extent of 5.6 ' x 3.0 ' and an apparent magnitude of 10.1 mag and was discovered on March 31, 1835 by John Herschel. It is also known as ESO 219-29 or PGC 45562.
