Nguyen Van Linh

Nguyễn Văn Linh (* July 1, 1915; † 27 April 1998) was a Vietnamese revolutionary and politician, during the Vietnam war, a guerrilla fighter of the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam. From 1986 to 1991 he was General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Nguyen was similar to his successor DJO Muoi representative of market reforms without political liberalization in 1991 and allegedly replaced for health reasons.
