Nicanor (son of Parmenion)

Nicanor was the second son of the Macedonian generals Parmenion. He was involved in the campaigns of Alexander the Great and in that capacity at all major battles of Alexander the leader of the light infantry ( hypaspists ). At the express command of Alexander, he pursued Darius III. (according to other sources Bessus ) together with the Agrianes of Attalos. Nicanor died in 330 BC, before Alexander had cut off his family.
