Niccolò Zucchi

Nicolaus Zucchius, Niccolo Zucchi (December 6, 1586 Parma, † May 21, 1670 in Rome ) was an Italian astronomer and physicist.

Zucchius was a Jesuit and professor at the Collegio Romano.

In 1616 he developed the first reflecting telescope.
