Nicholas Davis, Jr.

Nicholas Davis, Jr. ( born January 14, 1825 in Athens, Limestone County, Alabama, † November 3, 1875 in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama) was an American politician from the 19th century.

He was in 1851 a member of the State Legislature of Alabama. He then ten years later, in 1861, Alabama represented at the Secession Convention. As the deputy Thomas Fearn left the Provisional Konföderiertenkongress, Davis took on 29 April 1861 his place. He also tendered in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. He held there the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the 5th Alabama Battalion.

Davis died in Huntsville and was buried there on the Maple Hill Cemetery.
