Nick Straker

Nick Straker, actually Nick Bailey, is a British pop musician.

He played from 1969 initially at a relatively unknown bands such as Stonehenge, Batumbi and Limmie radio Limited.

He had his biggest hit then with the Nick Straker Band, which included next to him yet Tony Mansfield, Pete Hammond and Phil Towner. Had the self-penned A Walk In The Park 1979, first in Germany and his breakthrough was a top 10 hit in the German speaking countries and later top 20 in his native Britain. Furthermore, the band's songs, however, was fated little success.

From 1981 onwards, however, they had great success in the dance charts in the United States. A Little Bit Of Jazz conquered # 1 on the Hot Dance Music / Club Play charts. Straight Ahead came in 1983 still at No. 12, then succeeded nothing quite like it.

In 1987, he then tried his only hit to bring again by Stock Aitken Waterman among the people, but even that fizzled. While Tony Mansfield ( Sensitive eg for A- Ha and Captain ) was successful as a music producer, Bailey appeared in the 1980s as a songwriter Siedah Garrett and eg for Taylor Dayne in appearance.

The end of 2005 A Walk in the Park was covered by the Conways, which thus reached number 60 in Germany. The end of 2011 was A Walk In The Park of the techno group Scooter titled " David Does not Eat" gecovert.
