Nicky Hofs

Nick " Nicky " Hof ( born May 17, 1983 in Arnhem ) is a retired Dutch former football player. It stands as a youth trainer at the SBV Vitesse Arnhem in his hometown under contract since 2013.

Career

Association

He began his career at the age of five years in the youth team of the Arnhem club Arnhemse Boys. In 1995 he moved to the youth of Vitesse Arnhem. He was brought into the A-Team Vitesse 2001. In his first season he came to 13 inserts and was able to record two hits. During the winter break of the season 2004/ 05 he moved to Feyenoord Rotterdam. For the season 2005/ 06 Court came to a good start with four goals in six games. However, a serious knee injury forced him to take a break. After he came only to eleven missions in the Eredivisie for Rotterdam 2007/ 08, decided the Feyenoord managers to borrow him for the following season at Arnhem. After that, Arnhem decided to liability and court signed a two -year contract. However, this was dissolved in 2010 because of the financial problems of Vitesse; Court moved to Cyprus first division club AEL Limassol. End of the 2010/11 season he returned to the Netherlands where he stayed fit at his old club in Arnhem from July. Four weeks later, he got a new one-year contract with Vitesse. During the winter break of 2012/13 to the court later relegated Willem II was loaned to Tilburg. After the 2012/13 season ended Hof his active career and took a job as a youth coach at Vitesse. Court denied the Eredivisie 239 games, including 163 with 28 goals for Vitesse, 68 with 21 goals for Feyenoord and nine without a goal for Willem II addition, there were 14 league games for AEL Limassol.

National

Court was captain of the U -21 selection of the Dutch national team, which was founded in 2006 European Champion. In the semifinals, he scored twice in the final against Ukraine once. Behind his teammates Klaas -Jan Huntelaar, he was second in the scoring charts.

His only game in the senior team, he played on as a substitute on 1 March 2006 against Ecuador.
