AEL Limassol
AEL Limassol (Greek: Αθλητική Ένωση Λεμεσού ) is a Cypriot sports club from Limassol. The club was founded in 1930. The football team wears their home games at Tsirio, which offers about 14,000 spectators.
In addition to a very successful basketball and volleyball department of the club also has a wheel and a bowling department.
History of the football department
AEL has been six times Cypriot champion and six times Cypriot Cup winner.
At the European Cup, the team took part in five times so far, but different each time in the first round. 1996 AEL had to dismount for the first time in the club's history in the second league, but made the chances of promotion.
