Apollon Limassol
Apollon Limassol (Greek: Απόλλων Λεμεσού ) is a Cypriot football club based in Limassol, which plays in the first-class First Division.
General
The club was founded in 1954 and plays its home games at Tsirio, which offers nearly 14,000 spectators.
In his first season, 1955/56, Apollo lost all eight games, but was unable to due to problems of other clubs from Limassol before the next season take over a large part of the service providers of this association so that as early as 1957, the rise in the top flight succeeded, in which Apollon ever since could keep. 1965-1967 was Apollo three times in a row in the final of the Cup of Cyprus after Apollo was still inferior in the first year, get two wins in this competition in a row.
Apollo has so far been seven times to win the Cypriot Cup three times and win the national championship. In mid-November 2011 triggered the Romanian Mihai Stoichiţă the Frenchman Didier Ollé - Nicolle from as manager of the club.
