Olympiakos Nicosia
Olympiakos Nicosia is a football club based in the Cypriot capital Nicosia. It was founded in 1931. The colors of the club are black and green. The club currently plays in the class First Division.
Sporting successes
Olympiakos Nicosia is one of the founding members of the Cypriot first division. 1967, 1969 and 1971, the association of Cypriot champion.
1977 you won the first time in club history the trophy with a 2-0 Alki Larnaca. Olympiakos Nicosia in 1991 reached the final of the Cyprus Football Cup, but lost the team Omonia Nicosia.
In the European club competitions Olympiakos Nicosia had little success to date. In the 2001 / 02 season, Olympiakos Nicosia reached after two wins against the Hungarian club Dunaferr SE the second round of the UEFA Cup, but had to retire against Club Brugge.
In the 2007 /08 season Olympiakos Nicosia rose as 14 and Table from the First Division from, for the third time in its history after 1984 and 1998. In the Cypriot Second Division, the club 's re-emergence as a table in fourth just missed the following season. 2010 celebrated Olympiakos but then with Rank 3 to return to the top Cypriot league.
