Ioannis Masmanidis ( born March 9, 1983 in Leverkusen ) is a German footballer of Greek descent.

Career

The son of Greek parents played since he was six years for Bayer 04 Leverkusen and went through the youth teams to the second team, in which he came for the first time in 2002 for use. In the same year he was accepted into the professional squad, the Leverkusen, but came in only two years into a single Erstligaeinsatz.

Then in 2004 he joined for a fee of € 10,000 for Karlsruher SC in the second division. The left attacking midfielder landed at the Badeners a regular place and was considered a great talent.

In twenty-nine he scored fourteen goals and failed with KAS Eupen barely in the Relegation 'Ascent.

Mid- June 2012 gave the Belgian second division side CS Visé the obligation of Masmanidis for 2012/13 season known. He signed a three-year contract by the end of June 2015.
