Jens Paeslack

Jens Paeslack ( born February 25, 1974 in Hamburg ) is a former German football player and current coach.

Club career

Jens Paeslack played in his youth at various clubs of his hometown Hamburg. On the recommendation of the then Hertha player Eyjólfur Sverrisson, he moved in 1997 to Icelandic club ÍB Vestmannaeyja and celebrated winning the championship of the Cup and the Super Cup. At the start of the following season, the striker was still playing in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League 1998 /99 and retired with his team against FK Obilić from. A short time later he moved to the German Oberliga TSV Pansdorf and made there his breakthrough in Germany. Although he had an offer from the Bundesliga side TSV 1860 Munich, he decided to move to the second division Karlsruher SC. After a season with the Badeners Paeslack went to the Scottish Erstligaaufsteiger FC St. Mirren. However, the club could not hold the class and so Paeslack went on to the Cypriot first division club AEL Limassol. During the winter break of the season 2001/ 02 he returned to the third division side Stuttgarter Kickers to Germany. After the season, the striker moved to SV Sandhausen in the league, but in which he also played only half a year.

From January 2003 Paeslack was again active in the Bundesliga 2 SSV Reutlingen 05. At his next stop Borussia Fulda he played in the 2003/04 season in the Oberliga Hessen and left the club after a year to switch to FC Sachsen Leipzig, who had previously been relegated from the Regional League in the Oberliga Nordost. After half a year Paeslack changed due to internal differences continue to Kickers Emden, with whom he was able to celebrate the sovereign winning the Oberliga Nord at the end of the season. But he followed his team is not in the third division and to SV Waldhof Mannheim in the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg. Due to a serious knee injury, however, he did not come here to use and ended his active career in 2006.

Coaching career

For the season 2010/11 Jens Paeslack took first place in the dugout and was an assistant to Heino Stemmann at Germania Schnelsen in his hometown of Hamburg. The club was previously risen to the Oberliga Hamburg. In November 2010 he took over the fate as head coach and led the team until his resignation on 22 December 2011.
