Nicola Michetti

Nicola Michetti (* around 1680 in Rome, † 1758/59 ) was an Italian architect who worked in Italy and Saint Petersburg.

He was a pupil of Carlo Fontana. 1717-23 he worked at the church of San Pietro in Zagarolo. Then he built for Tsar Peter the Great to Constantine Palace and the baroque castle in Kadriorg ( Catherine Thal ). He also designed the fountains at Peterhof. Back in Rome he designed 1731/1732 the west front of the Palazzo Colonna.
