Nicolae Costin

Nicolae Costin ( born April 7, 1936 in Peciste, in Rajon Rezina in Moldova, † February 16, 1995 in Chişinău, Moldova) was a professor, politician and mayor of Chisinau in Moldova.

During the Soviet era, he fought for the emancipation of the Romanian population. Nicolae Costin's tenure as mayor Chişinău went from 1990 until 1994. Serafim Urecheanu His successor took office on August 9, 1994. Nicolae Costin was married to Iuliana Gorea Costin.
