Nicolas Antoine Boulanger

Nicolas Antoine Boulanger ( born November 11, in 1722 in Paris, † September 16, 1759 ) was a French engineer, scientist, linguist, historian and encyclopedist philosophical.

Life and work

He was born the son of a paper merchant, studied mathematics and later ancient languages ​​.

Boulanger's all important works were published after his death, so that he obtained only posthumous fame. For publication of his works helped especially Helvetius Holbach and Diderot involving.

To Boulanger known works include Recherches sur l' origine du despotisme oriental (1761 ) and L' Antiquité devoilee par ses usages (1766).
