Nicolas de Gunzburg

Nicolas Louis Alexandre de Gunzburg Baron ( born December 12, 1904 in Paris, † February 20, 1981 in New York City ) was a French banker, Russian, Polish and Portuguese descent. After he emigrated to the United States in 1934, he was also editor of several magazines, including Town & Country, Vogue and Harper 's Bazaar. As a patron financed Gunzburg Carl Theodor Dreyer horror film Vampyr - The Dream of Allan Grey from 1930, in which he also played the lead role under the pseudonym Julian West.
