Nicole Forrester

Nicole Forrester (Nicole Wendy Forrester, born November 17, 1976 in Toronto ) is a Canadian high jumper.

Your athletic career began when she worked with 17 years at McDonald's and the athletics coach Dave Hunt noticed her " endless " legs. He introduced her to Carl Georgevski, who taught her the high jump. Because of her talent, she received an athletic scholarship to the University of Michigan.

In 1998, she finished sixth at the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur. The following year, she won the bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg, but resigned at the World Athletics Championships in Seville in qualifying.

In 2001 she won a silver medal at the Games of La Francophonie in Ottawa and at the Universiade in Beijing. One bronze medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester was followed by a seventh place finish at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo in 2003. In 2007, she won the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro. At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka and at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing she did not make it past the first round.

A bronze medal at the Games of La Francophonie in Beirut in 2009 followed the victory at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Eight times she was Canadian champion (1998, 1999, 2002, 2006-2008, 2010, 2012 ).

Nicole Forrester is 1,92 m tall and weighs 72 kg. She earned her doctorate in sports psychology about Good to great in elite athletes: towards to understanding of why some athletes make the leap and others do not.
