The Niederdollendorf station is a railway station on the right Rhine route in Niederdollendorf, a district of the city of King Winter in the North Rhine-Westphalian Rhein- Sieg-Kreis. It stands as a monument historical monument.

The station is run by Deutsche Bahn in category 5.

Location

The station is located with its reception building at Proffenweg ( number 4 ), a section of the former creek road, on the north side of the Heisterbacher Road ( County Road 4). The light rail station Oberdollendorf the seven mountain railway is like the Niederdollendorf station, about 200 meters further east, on the road Heisterbacher and thus ensure a rapid transition.

History

The station was opened on July 11, 1870 as part of the extension of the right bank railway line from Neuwied to top Kassel. The station building was built in 1898, a service building for freight handling services by 1910. On Niederdollendorf station between the years 1940 and 1950, gradually abandoned and the transport of goods serving Heisterbacher Valley Railway had its endpoint.

The entry of the station including station building, platform roofing beams and rail operations building with loading dock in the list of monuments of the city of King Winter on 25 February 2002.

Architecture

At the core, built in 1898 reception building, a two-story brick building, bordering the north and south of single storey outbuilding. In the southern annex houses the station restaurant, the northern and later built counterpart has emerged as the building. The upper floor is designed as a service apartment. The station has a übergiebelten central projection, the windows and the portal have the shape of the arc segment. The facades are decorated with Gurtgesimsen, show the terracotta friezes. The roof of the platform has cast-iron columns.

The train station belonging Betriegsgebäude for clearance of goods from around 1910 is located about 50 m north of the reception building and is also a brick building. The hipped roof of the building is provided with towing dormers. The as " Drempelgeschoss " designated part of the building presents itself in a truss.
