Niederkorn

Niederkorn, also Niedercorn ( Nidderkuer in Luxembourgish ), is a town in the municipality in the canton of Esch- Differdange Uelzecht in Luxembourg. 2005, the city had 5400 inhabitants. Neighboring municipalities are Lisse, Petingen and Käerjeng.

The place takes its name from the river grain. Near the Giele Botter, has previously been a mining area and now a habitat is.

The football club of the place, the FC Progres Niederkorn, Luxembourg is a multiple champion and cup winner.

The center is to be created. The first of the four planned phases of construction will begin in June 2010 and be completed July 2011.
