Nieva District

The district Nieva is one of the three districts that make up the province Condorcanqui in the region of Amazonas, Peru. It was founded on May 18, 1984 by law and is mainly of Aguaruna, Huambisa, and inhabited mestizo settlers.

The district is located in the jungle and is drained by the river " Nieva ", one of the tributaries of the Marañón.

The district as well as provincial capital is Santa Maria de Nieva.
