Nikolaj Znaider

Nikolaj Znaider ( born July 5, 1975 in Copenhagen) is a Danish- Israeli violinist and conductor.

Life

His parents came from Poland. Decisive for its development was to study with Boris Kushnir in Vienna. 1992 Znaider had won the 4th International Carl Nielsen Competition. His international career as a violinist began when he won the 1997 Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels.

On November 1, 2012 came in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein Herbert Willis Concerto for Violin and Orchestra " sacrosanto " premiered by Nikolai Znaider ( Commissioned by the Society of Friends of Music in Vienna).

  • 2009 Edward Elgar: Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in B minor, Opus 61, Staatskapelle Dresden, Sir Colin Davis. The violin is played by Znaider the " Kreisler " Guarneri (built in 1741), played by Fritz Kreisler in London.
