Nikolaos Foskolos

Foskolos Nikolaos (Greek Nikolaos Νικόλαος Φώσκολος Foskolos; born December 11, 1936 in Komi, Tinos, Greece) is Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Athens.

Life

Nikolaos Foskolos was consecrated on 1 October 1962 at the age of 24, the Roman Catholic priest. On June 25, 1973, the appointment to the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Athens followed. The solemn consecration took place on 12 June 1973. As principal consecrator acted Archbishop Ioannis Perris, co-consecrators were Archbishop Antonios Varthalitis and Bishop Georgios Xenopoulos.

Nikolaos Foskolos acted as Mitkonsekrator at the ordinations of Frangiskos Papamanolis, Nikolaos Printesis and Ioannis Spiteris.

Foskolos since 1992 at the same time both the Apostolic Administrator for the Archdiocese of Rhodes and President of the Episcopal Conference of the Catholic Church in Greece.
