Nikolaos Frousos

Nikos Frousos (Greek Νίκος Φρούσος, born April 29, 1974 in Kyparissia ) is a Greek football player. The striker is since 2004 the Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta under contract.

Career

Frousos began his professional career in 1992 at the Greek club Ionikos Nikea, for whom he scored in the following eight seasons 59 goals in 190 league games. In 2000 he moved to league rivals PAOK Thessaloniki, where, however, he could not establish himself as a regular player and in three years only 51 missions came ( including 27 as a substitute ). In the two victorious Cup Finals in 2001 and 2003 came Frousos not used. In the summer of 2003 he returned for a season to Ionikos before he moved to Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta.

With Famagusta Frousos won the 2005 and 2008 league titles, in 2007, he scored in a 3-2 success in the cup final against Omonia Nicosia the meantime it 1-1.

Between 1999 and 2001 came to a total of seven Frousos inserts in the Greek national team. He made his debut on June 5, 1999 in a European Championship qualifier against Georgia. On his last mission he was on 28 February 2001 in a friendly against Russia, an international goal the striker did not succeed.
