Nikos Anastopoulos

Nikolaos Anastopoulos (Greek Νικόλαος Αναστόπουλος, born January 22, 1958 in Athens, Greece ) is a former Greek football player and current football coach. During the late 1970s and 1980s Anastopoulos went down in the history of Greek football as one of the greatest strikers.

Club career

Nikolaos Anastopoulos began his career at the Athens club Dafni. In 1978 he moved to first division club Panionios Athens and received a three-year contract. In Panionios Anastopoulos managed quickly made ​​it into the starting line- 1979 and could win with the club even the Greek Cup. During his active career Anastopoulos was called 73 times in the Greek national team, scoring 29 goals, which to this day is the record. In 1980 he took part in the finals of Greece European Championship, while scored the only goal of his team in this tournament. Coaching career
