Nils Hellsten (fencer)

Nils Erik Hellsten ( born February 19, 1886 in Stockholm, † April 12, 1962 ) was a Swedish fencer.

At the Summer Olympics in Paris in 1924, he won a bronze medal in the individual competition of the Degenfechtens. Also at the summer Olympics in Antwerp in 1920 and in Amsterdam in 1928 he had taken part.

For his Swedish fencing club FFF ( Föreningen för fäktkonstens främjande ) he won five Swedish Championships, the three of them in the epee (1917, 1918 and 1920) and two in foil fencing (1919 and 1920). With the Swedish national team he won at the World Championships 1931 in Vienna and 1934 in Warsaw each third place in epee.
