Nils-Olof Franzén

Nils- Olof Franzén ( born August 23, 1916 in Oxelösund, Sweden, † February 24, 1997 ). Was a Swedish author of primarily detective and crime novels, author of biographies as well as program director at the Swedish radio from 1956 to 1973, he became famous through his books for the whimsical fictional detectives Agaton Sax More created by him in the 1960s, fictional characters are Göran Ulv, Fred Y and Mr. Zippo.

He has written biographies of Hjalmar Branting, Alfred Dreyfus, the Swedish sports journalist Sven Jerring, Jenny Lind, Moliere, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Christina Nilsson, Gioacchino Rossini and Zola.
