Nimcha
The Nimcha is an Arab saber. It is spread throughout the Arab world.
History
The Nimcha was developed as an offensive and defensive weapon in Arabia.
Description
The Nimcha has a slightly curved, single-edged blade pointed at narrowing tapers from the tang (handle ) to the site. The blade has a reaching almost to the top hollow ground (falsely blood groove ). In other versions, the hollow sections are double or even triple. The blade has a length of about 80 cm. The total length is about 100 cm. The tang (handle ) has a parry from which often a guard branches at the top and two from the bottom, each terminating in a ball. At the bottom of Pariers branches instead of the second guard from a hand guard, which extends to the pommel. The handle is made of wood, horn, metal, or ivory and in the end is often set with stones or ornate carvings. The sheaths are usually made of wood and decorated with metal bands ( sliding plate, Ortmund ).
