Cardiff City

The Ninian Park was a football stadium in the Welsh city of Cardiff. It was demolished in 2009.

The stadium was until 2009 the venue of the home matches of the Welsh football club Cardiff City, who currently competes in the English second division. Since July 22, 2009 Cardiff City plays in the new Cardiff City Stadium.

The stadium was built in 1910 after Lord Ninian Edward Crichton - Stuart, son of John Patrick Crichton - Stuart, named and stood on a former landfill. The record crowd of 61 556 spectators was reached at the international between Wales against England on 14 October 1961. For games Cardiff City's record is 57 893 supporters in the game on April 22, 1953 against Arsenal.
