Nino Machaidze

Nino mud Tschaidse, georgian ნინო მაჩაიძე, English transcription Nino Machaidze ( born March 8, 1983 in Tbilisi, Georgia) is a Georgian opera singer in the vocal range soprano.

Life

Mud Tschaidse received her vocal training at Vano - Sarajischwili Conservatory in Tbilisi. At 17, she won her first singing contest in Georgia.

Between 2000 and 2005, she was repeatedly heard as Zerlina on Paliashvili Theatre in Tbilisi ( Don Giovanni), Norina ( Don Pasquale ) and Gilda ( Rigoletto ). In 2005, she was inducted into the Academy of Young Opera Singers at La Scala. There, they debuted in 2006 as Naiad in Ariadne auf Naxos, conducted by Jeffrey Tate. In the same year she won the first prize at the Leyla Gencer Voice Competition in Istanbul. After appearances as Silvia in Mozart's Ascanio in Alba, the singer celebrated in February 2007 at La Scala as Marie in Donizetti's La fille du régiment a success; it marked the beginning of their international career. In Milan, she also sang in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi Lauretta and the Musette in La Bohème.

At the Salzburg Festival in 2008, she sang instead of Anna Netrebko the role of Juliet in Charles Gounod's opera Roméo et Juliette. In 2009, she joined, among others, as Donna Fiorilla in Il Turco in Italia at the Theater an der Wien. In June 2013, it was re- engaged for the role of Juliet in Gounod's Romeo and Juliet, this time at the Vienna State Opera under the baton of Plácido Domingo.
