Ninsun

Ninsun (also Ninsunna; lady wild cow / Divine wild cow; epithet Veiled Lady ) is a figure from the Mesopotamian mythology and a character from the epic of Gilgamesh. It is the only daughter of King Enmerkar.

She is the goddess of Uruk, the wife of the deified king Lugalbanda and mother of Gilgamesh. By looking into the future and dreams indicated Ninsun acted as a wise counselor. Ur-Nammu, the founder of the third dynasty of Ur, led his lineage back to her.
